Soak in the scenic West Coast

The boat ride to Ahousaht is an adnventure in itself! Enjoy the 35 minute boat ride to Ahousaht and take in the great views of the scenic coastal mountains, Pacific Ocean, as well as taking in a lot of the traditional territories of Ahousaht. You will pass many historic sights, as well as what were seasonal viallges of the Ahousat, where they stayed for fishing, and seasonal resource extraction. The Lodge also has ready access to many pristine beaches and beautiful trails.

Immerse in Ancestral Cultural

While at the lodge, guests will enjoy the comforts of our rooms, complimented by a continental breakfast, which is included with your stay. With advance notice, guests may join us for a traditional BB-Q using fresh local salmon and/or halibut. (Salmon is not available at this time) The village of “Maaqtusiis” (primary home of the Ahousaht) is only a 15 – min walk away. A great strength Ahousaht is known for is its rich tradtions in song & dance, so you are invited to enjoy a traditional, cultural experience with our local Ahousaht First Nation cultural group (Soul Shakers). The cultural group performs songs and dances that they have composed themselves, as well as continuing to share our history of song & dance. Traditional food harvesting, story telling by local elders/knowledge holders, and cedar weaving are also some other traditiinal activities that can be offer

Watch Coastal Wildlife

Come discover where the black bears and wildlife call home. With Access to many trails around the lodge, our pictureque views shows very few signs of development, making it a great site to see wildlife: whales, seals, otters, bears, eagles, wolves and much more.

Walk the Wild Side

The Wild Side Trail winds its way through ancient Sitka forests and visits two of the most spectacular pristine beaches in Clayoquot Sound: Whitesands Beach and Cow Bay. See the Walk the Wild Side website for more information.

Other Day Trips & Boat Trips

Day trails are close at hand to explore old growth forests and the many secluded beaches. Some of the oldest old growth trees in the world are just a short walk away. Visit Botanical Beach at low tide and explore the tidal pools.

Ask about boat trips out of Ahousaht. Check out one of the many secluded white sand beaches in our territory, or  do a day trip up to the Hot Springs and soak away your worries. If interested, we can also orginize fishing trips (seasonal). Scenic flights over our territory is also a must. With Atleo River Air or Tofino Air your flight over our territory will be a memerable one.
